Hotels In Indianapolis That You Must Stay At

I have had the luxury of being able to travel with my husband on business. Once my husband and I became empty nesters, he took a job with quite a bit of travel and I quit mine. Now we get to spend a lot of time together on the road and seeing new places.

One place that we travel to often is Indianapolis. We like to stay downtown and now have established our favorite go to hotels in Indianapolis. When you have to be away from home a lot, you definitely want a comfortable hotel.

Hotels In Indianapolis

I would highly recommend the following hotels in downtown Indianapolis:

The Alexander – I love this hotel because of its art and ambiance. There is always something interesting to look at and the rooms are contemporary and cozy at the same time.

It’s also nice just hanging out in the lobby area which is styled so rustic chic. There are plenty of vintage pieces mixed with more contemporary art on the walls.

This bowl of vintage twine spools was sitting on a table in the lobby. There is something about vintage and twine that is just so warm and cozy.

As I looked across the lobby at the fireplace, I noticed these vintage shoe molds on the hearth. These, among other vintage items, were all so artistically displayed.

These birds are an example of some of the more contemporary art on the walls. One wall was filled with the birds. I only captured a portion of the wall.

Besides the art, the hotel also has a great breakfast available. The buffet is filled with great tasting choices and plenty of healthy options.

The Conrad – The Conrad hotel is another contemporary hotel with lots of art displayed. It is located a little more in the heart of downtown and also connects via skywalk to the Circle Center Mall. This makes it super convenient for getting to shops and restaurants, especially if the weather isn’t cooperating.

We have stayed at other fine hotels in Indianapolis like The Crowne Plaza or Hilton Garden Inn. However, The Alexander and The Conrad really stand out to me.
